I am a Freelance Writer who is looking for stories about people and their relationships to cars. Some people restore cars just because they like the style or the way they look. Those stories are great, but I want to dig a little deeper. I want to know why this car or that truck was picked specifically. What personal story is behind the vehicle itself? Was the car owned by your father? Was it the your first car? The car becomes part of the family in some ways. We name our cars and develop a bond with emotional attachments and that is what I am looking for. I have created a blog for this information or I can be contacted directly for your story. It does not matter if the car is a 3 wheeled scooter or an antique Porsche. All stories are welcome and pictures help bring the story alive.
Today we are influenced by all sorts of things with regards to the cars we fall in love with. Movies such as Gone in Sixty Seconds, Fast and Furious, along with television shows such as Supernatural all have great cars. Sometimes the car steals the show! After this happens people go looking for that specific car to restore and build. If this is the case with you I want to hear these stories too! Currently I am restoring a 1986 Mustang and a 1968 Mustang and you can see the pictures on my blog on the other page.
One of the biggest things I have found about cars is the names we give them. The names help the car become part of our family. Sometimes we have to let the car go for different reasons, but we never forget that one special car. I have seen adds on Craigslist and other sites of people searching for their long lost loves, no not a woman but a car. Some we have to replace with a replica and others times our wounds from a lost car never fully heal. You can see this through stories the owners tell of the cars and the way their eyes light up when they talk about them. What are some of you car stories? Do you have a car you cannot find but would like to? We can use this site as a way to talk to one another to see if we can find that old car of another time. Send me your information and I will post it on the site for others to find and maybe you can be reconnected with your long lost love too.
